To me, Jewelry is a celebration of the wonders our earth has created and the ingenuity and imagination of the people in it. For as long as humans have been making things we have been adorning ourselves, expressing who we believe ourselves to be through decorating our bodies. Taking what we have discovered in nature and using our creativity to turn it into something that will give us a unique, individual identity is a quality that is intrinsic to humanity and how we percieve ourselves. That is why it is so important what things we adorn ourselves with. They can say wether we choose to celebrate the world we live in or wether we merely wish to exploit it. Our individual choices have the power to make our world thrive and flourish with invention and creation or be consumed and dwindle away.

My pieces are shaped as much by the hands of nature as they are by mine. Each stone is unique, cut and shaped only by me from its natural state. Every one is a tiny wonder of nature more unlikely than anything dreamed up by the wildest imagination, a chance confluence of minerals, elements, time and circumstance, and some formed over millions of years.  I try to give such wonders the respect they deserve so that you can have something truly beautiful, a miracle of nature. To this end I only work with stones mined in ethical and reponsible manners from countries that protect the human rights of their workforce and with the strictest environmental regulations. The vast majority of stones in the jewelry industry are the result of catastrophic abuses of hardworking, gifted people and devastating environmental damage. All of my metals are recycled. All stones are shaped by hand in my California studio to ensure that you're piece of jewelry is not only one of a kind but so that you can adorn yourself and express your unique style with something that brings more beauty into the world, without doing any harm to it. Fashion should never be something that harms people or nature. It should be sometheing that is a reminder of who we are, of true beauty, of what really matters.
