I make my jewelry using lost wax casting. Wax shows the marks made by the tools used to sculpt it, it shows the hands of the sculptor, and it shows the imagination that drives them.

EVERY MARK, EVERY LINE, EVERY SCRATCH CARVED BY THE JEWELERS HAND IN A PIECE OF WAX IS A STEP ON THE JOURNEY FROM AN IDEA TO A SCULPTURE IN PRECIOUS METAL AND STONE.

when we look at all these marks, we are following in the footsteps of the artist as they transform their dream into something we can now hold in our hands. what could be more beautiful than that? I could polish all those marks out, and finish the metal until all the signs that it was made by a human hand are gone. But I think the story they tell is is something really special, i want to keep that.

Working in lost wax also allows me to be almost completely independent of other manufacturers for my metals. Most of my work simply goes from raw recycled metal to the finished piece in your hands, with nothing in between. Everything is done in my studio. this eliminates dependence on large scale manufacturing and outsourcing material production to overseas suppliers that have a negative human and environmental impact. I KEEP THINGS SIMPLE, I USE ANCIENT TECHNIQUES AND RUDIMENTARY TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT I HAVE MADE BY HAND. I want you to be able to look at one of my designs and see exactly how it was made, see where i struggled and see where I triumphed.
